The Orchestra, Conductor and Committee

The orchestra was founded in 1970, and has gradually grown in size and in the expectations of its ever-increasing audience.

The Conductor

Igor Kennaway has been with the orchestra since the beginning of 2006. Igor Kennaway is an experienced conductor who has worked with major orchestras both in Great Britain and abroad. He is equally at home with the operatic oratorios and the symphonic repertoire. As a pianist he has worked and performed with many eminent singers and taught at many of the principal music institutions in England and Europe.
