Musicians

For most concerts, distinguished visiting soloists are engaged. Whenever appropriate, these have included former Shropshire students now in the profession.  

Membership and current vacancies

Ludlow Orchestra is an enthusiastic amateur orchestra, consisting of 40 - 50 players. It draws its members from Ludlow and farther afield.

CONDUCTOR: Igor Kennaway.... was appointed at the end of 2005 following  the retirement of Richard White.

LEADER: Graham Jones

The orchestra is always glad to receive enquiries from prospective members. At the moment, especially welcome will be enquiries from violinists, violists and cellists. Rehearsals are fortnightly on Sunday evenings in Wistanstow village hall and the orchestra gives two to three concerts a year.
